Antique Walnut Breakfast Table with Inlaid Brass Line.
Timber: Burr Walnut
Regency tilt top Breakfast table. Typical of the regency period is fine work with rare timbers and intricate work with inlays.
This table is of solids and rare wild burr walnut hand cut veneers, unavailable in the marketplace today. The table would have been crafted by a top cabinet maker of the day, circa 1820. His skill is demonstrated in his lined brass border, carefully inlaid in the walnut, mirroring the oval shape of the table. The inlay today remains fully intact and flat, demonstrating a skill that is rare today.
