In the 12th Century, French cabinet makers were constructing boxes intended to hold their client’s valuables. Those boxes were referred to as a cofre, from old French cofre “a chest”. To this day, possessions are stored in the descendants of those early designs… in what we now call chests of drawers.
Shown is a scant introduction to the endless variety of chests that has evolved from that early French box. Our catalog, however, illustrates an even wider selection for your consideration, several available for immediate delivery. Of course, we are willing to create a piece to your design and specification … to add still further to those endless possibilities.
