Court Cupboard
Out of stock
Fashionable from the mid 16th century, court cupboards were used mainly for display and therefore were a focal point of the interior. The front corners of the cupboard were set at an oblique angle to the front panel. Drawers often were included in the friezes, or horizontal bands, in the centre and top tiers.
Our copy is of a 15th century original, with a center door and dentil moulding. Never having really supplied much storage, the pot board on the original appeared to have been a later addition.
