Bureau bookcases can be useful today, in addition to being beautiful. When the drop down writing surface closes, a multitude of work paraphernalia can be hidden, removed from sight and mind for a while.
Shown here are several versions of the case, with and without glass, in more than one timber. The main version features raised paneled doors to the top with adjustable shelves within, giving even more space for hiding paraphernalia.
