In the late 18th Century, Europeans became enamored with all manner of Oriental imports and designs. English porcelain producers took notice and began producing ceramics featuring Asian influenced designs.
This is a wonderful and scarce ca. 1860’s compote, hand-decorated over a transfer pattern, with deep rich colors.
In good antique condition with no chips, no cracks and no repairs.
