Carved Credence Side Table
Out of stock
The credence table historically was found on church alters or at the entrances to dining rooms of the crowns of state. Its function was to hold small samples of food or drink for the “taster” to sample prior to serving. If the taster didn’t succumb to a poison, it was deemed safe to dispense.
Our credence table is simply a small table of lovely design to fit on your short wall or corner.
Extensive hand carved details decorate the mitered shaped and framed top. One drawer.
